Dr. Scott Vanina DACBSP, EMT, NASM CES/PES, ART, KTP
Dr. Scott Vanina is a graduate of Northwestern Health Science University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Human Biology. He then continued on to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2003. Dr. Vanina holds Licenses to practice Chiropractic in the states of Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Maryland. Dr. Vanina is a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (DACBSP) This is the highest level of sports training a chiropractor can receive in the field of sports chiropractic medicine and he is one of only 300 chiropractors in the country with this specialty. Before being able to pursue the Diplomate curriculum Dr. Vanina had to first become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP) Dr. Vanina is also KT1-KT3 certified from Kinesio Tape. He currently holds advanced certification in concussion management from Concussion Health. He will soon be taking the Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP) examination.
Dr. Vanina also received training to become a licensed and nationally certified Emergency Medicine Technician (EMT). This helps him with the assessment and treatment of on-field injuries.
Dr. Vanina owned and operated Performance Chiropractic & Sports Clinic in Grand Rapids Minnesota for ten years & Action Sport & Chiropractic Center of Pottstown. He has worked with patients with all types of neuromusculoskeletal disorders and he specializes in treating athletes
Dr. Vanina has served as an elite team chiropractor for the Baltimore Run Festival, team chiropractor and tapping/soft tissue specialist for the Baltimore Mid-Atlantic Cross fit Games, and personal chiropractor for professional ballet dancers, and NHL & NFL players. Dr. Vanina was the chiropractic consultant and team trainer for the Grand Rapids High School Boys Soccer program and was the medical adviser director for the Grand Rapids Jaycees Football program. He was the consultant and EMS director for the Grand Rapids Lacrosse Association. Dr. Vanina has been a consultant for: coaches for many sports, Division 1 & 3 athletics, and professional scouts. Dr. Vanina also consulted and treated athletes of the Grand Rapids High School Boys and Girls swim teams. Dr. Vanina has educated and lectured many regional coaches on the topics of sports performance and injury prevention including concussion prevention.
Dr. Vanina is full body licensed provider of Active Release Technique (ART). This technique is highly effective for treating a whole host of soft tissue and nerve entrapment issues. He is also licensed by the National College of Sports Medicine as a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) and Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES). Dr. Vanina is also certified in Dry Needling by David Fishkin, DC, MPH of the Dry Needling Institute, LLC. The Fishkin method is considered by many in the manual therapy community as the best method of Dry Needling.
Dr. Vanina is currently working on an Advanced Certification in Vertebral Spinal Ligament Stabilizing patterns and injuries. This certification makes Dr. Vanina one of the leading Chiropractic Doctors in the greater Philadelphia area.
